Cel 22 - I Still Move
This is the new 'Hood' video for the track, I Still Move from North London resident Cel 22, produced by Scorcher. A lot of people on the forums are rating this one, even though it's straight 'ard' Hip Hop, but you can't deny the flow is doing the damn thing.

Ribz ft Skepta - Dance Like Me

All i will say is, Leah from Big Borther.

Tinchy Stryder ft Roachee - Rollin

Now this is what i like to see, real Grime music being made. This is the new video from Tinchy Stryder for the track Rollin ft. Roachee (fresh out of pen) produced by Maniac, which is actually quite alot. Good to see that Roachee didn't do the cliche, go prison get all depressed and start writing Hip Hop bars thing, his Grimy flow is still very much on point which is a good sign. Promoter's lets get the guy some bookings to start showering down the raves, one thing that was always easy for him to do.

Grime vs Bassline Interview

This is an interview i sorta did but was on the phone most of the time (raggo), so they interviewed each other instead, did a better job than me i think.

Bashy - Drive

This is the new 'Hood' video from Ashley Thomas for the track Drive, off Bashy.com which is his latest project. It's a good mixtape, a lot of Hip Hop but the bars are on point as expected from this dude.

Bashy.com out November 17th

Classic : Number 6

Newham Generals - Frontline

One of the most popular Grime crew's Newham Generals have been about from day merking almost every Sidewinder, featuring on almost every Grime DVD. This Frontline track i think is a classic, I'm sure if you were to ask any hipster Grime lover out there what their favourite track / freestyle from the crew is and they would say this one, seeing as it is the first track that comes up on youtube for then anyway.

Even though Monkstar has now turned his back on the Grimey lifestyle and has now found JESUS, the remaining member's do need to release a mixtape because they have a lot of fans out there even with the current climate that Grime is in at the moment, with everyone either leaving to be on Funky House or Shit'lectro or just simply being lazy and not releasing any music at all. That's a point actually, i must ask Double wha gwan with this mixtape malarkey next time i see him.

Asher D, Sway & Durrty Goodz - Mo Part II

I heard this tune a little while ago, but it is still a good track. I've never been a fan of either of these people that feature on the track (well apart from the odd tune they've made in the past) but whatever. Interesting video.

Your thoughts?

''B.O.D.R's Inside... Yeeeeeeeee''

I came across this old Niche / Jamie Duggan track a while ago and was looking for it for time, asking various Bassline DJ's on my MSN and ting, i finally found it on Youtube (what would we do without it?). It features B.O.D.R excluding Sick Made Man, I'm truly surprised that the 'Music Journo's' haven't picked up on these man yet, they are alot. Catch my feature of them in SUPERSUPER issue 14 out at the end of November!.

BET Hip Hop Awards 2008

And The Winner Is...

News just in that Giggler aka Giggs won best UK Hip Hop act at the American BET awards, i think the show airs on Sky 198, 24th October. Well done to Hollowman.

Craig David ft Tinchy Stryder - Where's Your Love?

So Craig went back to his Garage roots with this track, with an added touch of Grime by Tinchy Stryder. It sounds ok i suppose im not sure about it right now and not sure how it will do in the charts but yeah it's ok, i think it's possibly his last attempt to get the younger crowd into his music again hence the feature by Tinchy who the Kids seem to love off, well done Marketing team. Sorry i seem a bit raggo today, im still recovering from the mad amounts of Dizzle & Champagne i took over the weekend LOL.

Look pon da teet.

iRecommend : Rangoose Vol1

Grime ravers Nu Brand Flexx have a new mixtape out called Rangoose vol 1. Now if your a typical Grime fan this one isn't for you, but if your known to like a bit of Pop, Electro and Grime all mixed together then you will enjoy this.

It has all the recognisable tracks such as Gash By Da Hour which has been remixed by a plethora of people, Feel So Good, 2000 Nu Brand, Kiss My Cough aswell as some good Grime tracks like Make It Happen and Malarky . It also features a Bassline version of the Malia and Ayia Napa tune of the Summer, Shag Anybody featuring Flirta D, Kaos and Asher which is alot i must say and you readers know i like my Bassline.

Only thing i would say about this CD which isn't bad per say, there needed to be a bit more GRIME orientated tracks, less of the jumpy, happy, rave type tracks. If you claim your a Grime act that is what people should expect, although i do appreciate the experimentation.

N-Dubz - Papa (Official Video)

No doubt this song will grow on me like all the other tracks N-Dubz bring out, but right now im not too sure. The video looks very polished though. Your thoughts?

iRecommend: Durrty Goods Live!

If your not going to Swindon or Mindie this Friday then you need to attend the Get Me vs Immediate Sounds event. A night featuring the sounds of Grime, Bashment, Soca, Bassline, Jungle, Reggae and Funky House. Im sure you will buss a skank to at least one tune before you anxiously wait for Goodz to come on stage, for all you Grime core fans out there.

Mr Vegas - More Love
I don't follow Dancehall, Bashment or Reggae hence the 2 year lateness of this tune, but it's catchy, the subject matter is still very relevant to today, oh and i like it. (A first and probably the last)

Crazy Cousinz feat. Calista - Bongo Jam

The video doesn't do the track justice at all. Your thoughts?

Im feeling this track even though it is a bit Ironiky but whatever init.
I saw Snakeyman perform this track at the Adulthood premiere a few months back and he got a good reception, let's see how it does.

The first event will be hosted by Badness and dj's will include No Requests & Miquita Oliver, with a Live PA by The Murkle and the man who got punk kids on to reggae Don Letts. JP Update!

Hi people, another quick update to tell you that i will now be writing Dance music reviews (Grime, Bassline, Dubstep, Electro, Funky House, Acid House etc) for indie magazine Artrocker, so if you have music for review and i rate it i will feature it simple. Holla: jp@thesupersuper.com

Also there will be some exciting projects that i will be working on with Ctrl+ Alt+ Shift+ very soon so watch out for that one aswell.

N Dubz...5 Million Whaaaat?

I parred this tune when it came out in May, but it has since grown on me and a lot of other people it seems with it reaching 5 Million plus hits on Youtube. This track recently entered into the download chart at number 37 according to RWD ( because I haven't got time to research about N-Dubz). The UK music scene is looking strong at the moment (Westwood voice).

iRecommend: Grime Albums

Ok im not going to be cliche and say oh i bought these albums or say that i will go and support them when i got them sent to me for free, but i highly rate these GRIME ALBUMS and if you have a few spare quid, go and cop these...

Grime's Young New Stars.

Mixmag sneak preview, out soon! : )

Mini Sidewinder Review.

So last Saturday Sidewinder took to the Bristol Academy, it was a big night all round, apart from the random mc acting like a diva. Flirta D b2b Skepta was one of the big highlights of the night with DJ Cameo spinning some old skool grime bangers. Another guy that tore up the darnce was Faith Sfx, with his beat boxing over Funky House track Devil In A Blue Dress to Duppy. Riko and a few Shadow Demon man took it back with some jungle, d'n'b business, not really my thing but i did shake a leg.

The Bassline room was unbelievably ram with EJ, Jamie Duggan, Nev Wright and more holding the torch for Niche. The main set of the night comprised of Ghetto, Little Nasty, Griminal, S.R.E and a few randoms which got everyone on a hype even the bassline ravers who 'Dont Like Grime' . There was no hype ting (well apart from from a weave fight between two girls) and there were more than a few goonies in the place, which was surprising actually because i thought there was going to be beef, the night before someone got shot in their balls at a Bassline dance (true story, oh dear). Look out for more Sidewinder events in the future.

JP's Grime Advice: Part 1

Grime, good old grime.

Mc's are going on like friggin superstars at the moment, long are the days of a good old grime rave with everyone jumping on mic, now everyone wants to be paid grands for some gay P.A. That is AIR. I Went to Sidewinder last weekend (which was alot by the way) and Mc's dont even finish a tune, what is that? Fix up.
