Spirtual Or Just Music?

This post is going to go a bit deep so...,for a long time i have been thinking to myself what is it about music like grime and dubstep more so that gets people feeling really hype and sometimes very angry, i have been speaking to alot of people about the same thing. Its like its a spirit that literally takes over you sometime thats why you find people getting so hype, someone said that grime hits their heart, which i feel most the time, the bars the violent bars really go deep to me its like its a spirit that takes over people as if you were in a Pentecostal church and the 'Holy Ghost' posses people and they cant stop screaming and shaking and literally cannot control themselves. I mean the Devil was the angel of music after all so could it be that the grime and dubstep sound has demonic influences? or is it just a piece of harmless fun? but if your a deep thinker like myself you would actually sit down and think about it. Stepping away from grime and dubstep i watched a DVD about a church in america who held a conference they were listening to rappers like jay-z and 666 mafia and one of the songs rewound was saying 'Murder Jesus',and Bone Thugs And Harmnony's album cover had a witches spell written in reverse which can only be read in the mirror which when said will be read into your soul allowing evil spirits to come into you...(deep init) anyways the point im really making is , is it more than just music? or can it be classed as spiritual to some people?....

JP's Predictions For 2008???

The end of 2007 is nigh so i thought id give you MY predictions of who i think should be big/bigger in the year 08 i know you will agree with me...

LEE BRASCO

I think this mc is alot, he has been around for a minute still but has really been getting himself out there on the live shows at Urban Nerd and Dirty Canvas. I spoke to him about His Track 'COMPUTER GIRLS' telling him he should really get on that track more because all the indie kids love that tune, but he has talent still he is currently doing a mixtape so watch out for that, more likely to be out in 2008.
www.myspace.com/leebrasco

TEMPA T / SLEW DEM

All though Tempz has had quite a big year this year getting bookings all over the place with his 'SWINGING AND PAXXING' i think more is to come out of him yet, he also is currently making a mixtape which shouldve been out already but he said it will be alot (Hence the delay) and the videos to come will be a NEXT TINGGGGGGG!.Also Slewdem crew will be doing big things with their Non Stop Working DVD 2 which is to come out next year and watch out for Rage's new mixtape which is currently in the making.
www.myspace.com/tempztempz

CHIPMUNK

This year i think Chippy has made himself a player in the grime game with his Mixtape 'League Of My Own' getting some excellent reviews, youngers and even the olders better watch thier back, he has a proper business mind on him. At 16/17 he has had a mixtape out and video also been on a heavy promotional tour...some older guys in the game havent even got a mixtape to show for themselves... they need to fix up still or they will get left.

SIR SPYRO

Spyro is one of the grime scene's biggest djs im sure we can all agree on that one, with his production skills doing alot aswell he's got it all on lock. Long are the days of big headed prick dj's who go on like there the biggest thing sliced hardo bread, spyro is down to earth with a love for the scene. Promoters gets'ta booking.
www.myspace.com/sirspyro

TS7

17 year old Niche Bassline producer from Bradford is one of the biggest guys in the Niche scene with club smashes such as feat T.DOT 'Raise Your Glasses' and 'Smile' and others getting played on Mainstream Radio, he also even reached number 2 in the UKG charts so he has done alot this year. I think this time next year he will be as big as T2 (although not comparing their sound as its very different) he is a humble person with his mind fully on the music i think he will do well.
www.myspace.com/ts7productions

JTJ Productions

Tobias,Joshua and Jordan aka JTJ Productions from leciester are one of the most prestigious producers in the Niche Bassline scene with top 10 UKG charts such as 'Its You' and 'No Means No' Feat Sasha doing big things all over england they defiantly are tipped to do big - ger things in the year to come.
www.myspace.com/jtj4x4

ADDICTIVE

Louise and Aisha aka ADDICTIVE are two ladies from east london who are Singers that mainly vocal Niche Bassline beats, working with the one and only T2 with their signature song 'Your Gonna Be Mine' ,despite a few journalists slewing their live singing they actually are good on tracks still watch out for them.

DJ DRAMA

This dubstep dj from london has been doing big things for dubstep recently with his residency at Urban Nerd and he has just been booked for the upcoming Bizzle tour which is a very big look, its about time there was a dubstep dj refreshing alie?

Rave Review - URBAN NERD

Saturday 17th saw the latest in the Urban Nerd events, i got there at 7pm and i only went early out of the kindness of my heart to help the promoter with any help he might have needed (i aint cheap i was on the guestlist anyway wernt doing the free b4 8 thing lol),but when i got there everything was in place, the boards were ready for the graffiti artists to do their stuff on, how i no Urban Nerds crew are ballin' they had a working van outside to be graffitied on, that was alot. Neways people started coming in it was looking good until it started to rain and i was fearing a little bit thinking rah no ones coming now but after about 30 mins of me fretting for the promoter i saw people coming in groups of Nu Rave garm wearing Grime lovers or what Hattie Collins likes to call the 'Whoreditch' crowd,it got ram at like 9.30/10 that time Rattus Rattus was running set, playing everything from indie to grime, bassline to old skool and it got people bubblin still. Then about 11 Dirty Canvas' dj Magic came on and played some grime business and did alot, Badness was on his set spitting fireeeee,(his tune with Silverlink is sho sho the people wernt ready for it star). Then in walked one of the biggest youngers in the game Chipmunk who did his thing still. Dirty Dangerous and Lee Brasco jumped on the set aswell. That set finished about 12.30ish then Dj Drama came on for some Dubstepppp business and he tore da place up i have to say still, for a quite unknown dj he showered it, Lee Brasco jumped on his set and was going mad on the mic got alot of well deserved reloads, also on stage dubstepping it out was Spitter,Jago D,Skilla B, Kase and this Nu Rave looking mc called Cast who had barzzzzzz i was shocked star... and some other randoms but they f'd it up you wouldve had to be there still. The spittin was over and everyone went backstage where i headed to get some free drink (ok im cheap shitttt low me)that time Flo Dan was about to go on stage with plastician but i missed it alllllll i was busy talking to Lee Brasco, Spitter and others about Grime and politics it was interesting and i was speaking to some 'Whoreditch' type Kids and people think they are new to this grime thing and wanna jump on the culture?... trust me i thought the same a few months ago, but i was talking to one ex - badman, and he was talking about how he went pen for 3 months and shit so dont think they dont no about road just becuase they dress different because they do .... but ye overall it was a very big night had a few Dubplate Drama actors there aswell repping. The dance was so big i missed 333's door closing time i was pissed that i missed my Niche Bassline.

Uncle Fumin.

Fumin & Crissy Criss - Sidetracked

This Video has been heavily rotating on Channel U recently, i think this this is an excellent Hip Hop track from Da Fam's Fumin. My bredrin bought his nu mixtape the other day and it is actually aloooooot it has a few more Hip Hop tunes than expected but it still has the grime bangers on there, i forgot the name of the nu mixtape but if you want it you'll find it.

I Dunno If It Works Uno?

Fret Deezy & Weaz "Funked Out Bass"

This Beat made by T2 i think would be better without the mc's, they dont ride the beat properly, certain mcs usually do justice over niche bassline tunes, not in this case...well for me anyway.

Reviews On Sunday

MAKING MOVES TV

TRAILER

All Grime.com are the forces beind Making Moves Tv. If you like your Grime dvd's you will like this one it has some on the blocks footage with Jammer and some unkown mcs such as Shortman now this mc is aloooooooot he has got an excellent flow i dont know why people aint heard of him yet still,it also has footage from live performances with Ny, Faith SFX ,Purple Wiley,Doctor,Akala and more, there is also a mini interview on there with Organized Grime formerly known as Essentials. The only thing wrong about the dvd is that there is 1 or 2 parts which has some old footage from 2006 like Fire Camp on stage (with Lethal B b4 he went Indie) but apart from that it was a good watch, it also has some Hip Hop heads on there such as Badman actor Mike GLC, Cerose from PDC and Face from So Solid who has some REAL TALK with the Making Moves camp. As its their first dvd they have done ok, i suppose the next one will be a bit more polished ie the sound quality on some bits, but go cop it, its live, its real, its alot.

My Name Is Spitter.

I got sent this mixtape in the week and its by an Mc from East London who goes by the name of 'Spitter'.This mc has been mcing for about 2 years now and this is his first offering to the grime scene. The 15 track cd has got some good and not so good tunes as you may expect but for a first mixtape he has done well (which is more than what i can say about some established artist's out there), the best tune on there without a doubt is Track 4 - 'Freestylers' feat, Shiesty, and Jago D, the bars are on point and the beat is bouncy still, also Track 10 - 'R.E.A.L Talk' which is a freestlye over Young Dots beat but the bars are about his life growing up in the ends and he delivered on that one still, there one or two tracks on there like for example Track 2 - My name is Spitter, the track annoyed me to be honest the beat didnt match his flow just my opinion.DVA has been heavily involved with this mixtape it seems with making tracks etc (that guy is everywhere alie?).I have heard some tracks from Spitter's new mixtape 'The Next Level Vol 1' which features Lee Brasco,Lauren Mason and more the best track which ive heard from this mc is Lyrics Flows The Game which is on his myspace page its a very big track check it out.

"FOREVER" NAA & NITRO - NITRO PRODUCTIONS - JAGUAR RECORDS

Add to My Profile | More Videos

This is the latest video from N.A.A with track produced by female Producer Nitro, this is possibly the worst video to come out from the camp, it looks cheap and the only things that look good is the girls and the Forreduci Garms, the production isnt on point this time, Nitro usually makes some good stuff with her tune Rising Hype with Roachee and Sas Killa etc that was her best i think .The singing in this video is not cutting it either, better luck next time.
