Partyshank - Gary
I am starting to get into this electro game boy sounding music more and more, Partyshank and co-producer I Will Shank You For A Penny are a collective of Proucers who make Grime,Electro,Screamo Grindcore and Jungle music. Some people would categories them as indie kids who are jumping on this grime ting!, no they have worked with the likes of Skitz Beats and unlike Hadouken dont feel no way to say they rep the grime sound in the Nme. There names alone are madddd and there sound is even crazier but catchy you might actually like it...

Skepta Album Launch Party Review.
Dirty Canvas the biggest Grime night in London hosted Skepta's Launch Party last friday at Cargo in east london, taking i had to travel 2 hours on the motorway i got there at 11.30 thats the que im talking about i didnt get into the venue until 12.15, the wait did alot for my back foot i aint gonna lie. Got in there now and Skeptatron was on stage murking the benga tune Night or what i call the Napa tune, everyone was going on sikkk skanking all over the place i was trying to take pictures but i just ended up shakin' out differently (therefore taking shite pics).Skepta also performed tracks from his album such as, In a Corner,Blood sweat and tears with Shorty and Jme (big up shorty on the reeeeeeload)it was then sho'time.
Maximum dropped in some Niche in the mix 'Heartbroken' and i think it was 'Why' both by T2 i was bussin gun fingers all over the globe. Then like after 30mins skepta was like last tune, i was like whaaaaaaat ,2'2's all the mandem came on stage Badness,Tempa T,Blacks,Jammer,Pres T,Frisco,Cgritz (who was on some next level skankage) Doctor,Gender,N.E and a few others and spat for another 35/40mins. All the mc's spat over RBX, that was the tune that got everyone on some next ipe' ting, i think that was the tune of the night. The main mc that duppied the whole thing was Mc Trigga from Shadow Demon he had everyone on the Drum and Bass vibe which did alot of things .It came time to handing over to Radiocit and Tempa T mashed up the microphone i caught joke. I think it finished too early because when Radioclit (who usually do alot) came on everyone dipped which was very deep i would be upset if i was about to dj and that happened...Then everyone was outside catching joke b4 going Minsitry of Sound , i was going to go with everyone but me and my people were not dressed for that so we went Mc'd's drive through and bought some food, Slew Dem man were waxing off some food aswell (raves get manaman hungry star). It was a good night overall, big up the Dirty Canvas camp aka David and Magic who are doing big things for the Grime scene.

Blackstars Mixtape Review

Highly Rated crew features D.Dark, Xploder and Beckz and they also have affilites such as Skilla B,Mistri and Dj Gutman. The Blackstars mixtape is the latest effort from the crew it has some excellent production on there by the likes of Blackjack,DVA and D.Dark (who is a big producer i was surprised), there is a few female vocalists on there adding the r'n'g flavour such as Yasmin,Joci and Jasmin Lopez.I will be real there are quite a few Hip Hop tracks that i dont really expect from a grime mixtape BUT it is something i could deal with, its not that bait US style hip hop that some mcs out there are coming with, some of the best tracks on there are ones like: 'Fly away' feat. Xploder & Yasmin, 'Private' feat.D.Dark,
'First Time' feat.Beckz. It is an all over good mix cd something you can put in and chill out to which is hard to do with alot of grime, the artwork is alot aswell its proffesionally designed by Sketchyescy. We should really support acts like this there not all about guns and shanks they bring good vibes nothing wrong with all that talk coz its real at the end of day, but every now and again you want to chill out to grime and not feel angry.
The mixtape its out now. www.ukrecordshop.com

T2 - We Salute You.

T2 (Heartbroken) Producer i think has broke a world record this year in the UKG charts, the tune 'Heartbroken' is now at its 23rd Week in the charts and his tune 'Why' is at number 3 aswell, from being a bedroom producer to having tunes getting signed he definatly has done alot for the Niche Bassline scene. With all his L DOUBLE E D S peepz backing him im sure he will be even bigger next year.

Singing With The Enemy - Grime vs Berlin Rock.

Just finished watching Singing With The Enemy on BBC3 and it was actually big this week, it was featuring Peckham Grime Crew 'Lyrically Scard'who had to join up with a Brighton Berlinesked style/Rock band the 'Dirty Cakes',as you will see on this episode the Mc's are straight road man and they had to join musical forces with 3 Homosexual men and at first the mandem dont take to it to well, that is until they have to work together and perform in front of people at Cafe de Paris London, i think the styles worked together well in the end but i will be real i wouldnt want this to ever come out on release or anything but it was good for what it was lets say. Lyrically Scard tried their best to show the positive side of grime, although there were a few bits that didnt represent grime music in its best light they did it justice all in all proving to the non grime people out there that its not all about gun and shank talk...
Repeat on BBC3 Mon 15 Oct 1:55 - 2:55 or / Tue 16 Oct 21:00 - 22:00 when most people are awake.

Bring Back The Old Skool....GRIME.
Is it me or has the quality of grime bangers gone down a bit since like 05/06 if you think how grime was when it came out it was fresh and the quality of the beats and bars were on top form as you will see from the video above, but nowadays there isnt alot of good grime out there in the clubs, realistacally there have been about 5 grime bangers this year of which Skepta must of produced about 2,Maniac has had a few aswell and like the garage charts have just had Skepta's stageshow riddim that has hanged in there really, now to just have like 1 or 2 grime bangers i dont think is acceptable especially when the scene is still very young, look how much good stuff there was back in the Nasty Crew,SLK,Meridian days to now?. Now im not talking about mixtapes im talking about club banger's, chart top tunes, the mixtape quality has been good still ....come on producers bring the grime bangers back in the clubs. There are alot of Niche tunes out there which i am feeling still but im a grime man and would love to see it getting back into the raves a bit more. Eskimo Beats always get me moving in the rave play that all night i would be happy lol. When you hear Bok Bok's Old Skool Grime mix CD you will know why i wrote this it has all the big grime tunes from back in the day, i will update you when it is out on release.

Skinnyman Is On This Tingggg.

Skinnyman is one of the best known rappers in the uk, from when Council Estate Of Mind came out thats when i thought this geezer is alot like, he's got bars, I have been following his career since then but im not really a Hip Hop man so i kinda got a bit bored until i heard his new tune Smoking Ban on Logan Sama's show, i never thought it was Skinnyman at first i truly thought it was some new grime mc till i listened a bit longer then i knew thats skinnymans flow its bait, it caught my attention because the production is on point and most important of all it sounds GRIMEY. He is bringing out a new album 'Council Estate Of GRIME' which i think will be good because he does alot on Grime beats still...the only thing is i think he needs to be a bit more clued up on the grime scence as a whole but true say he's new to the grime ting he'l get a bligh.

Tim And Barry - Badderman Photographers
Tim and Barry are the biggest grime photographers out there working closely with the likes of Jammer and Slew Dem to name a few, they have been taking photos of the best known and not well known artists in the grime scene for years which i think is good, giving the unknown artist a chance ,they have also worked with the likes of M.I.A and Rio Ferdanand aswell which shows they are the real deal , this video is from the JC/DC Project in Paris, the desinger of JC/DC - Jean Charles de Castelbajac is the realest clothes desinger out there, man knows about grime and his garmz are doing it. Like its proper designer but you can drop it like its ghetto you know them ones, he's aloooot.
